Regenerating Australia screening events in Western Australia

  • Western Australia Australia (map)

What would Australia look like in 2030 if we simply listened to the needs of its people? Regenerating Australia is the latest film from Damon Gameau, the award-winning director of 2040 and That Sugar Film. Regenerating Australia premieres in WA in May 2022 as part of a national tour of ‘special event’ cinema and community screenings across Australia. These screening events include panel conversations hosted by Damon, with a series of special guests including Anthony James.

Friends and podcast supporters, Impact Seed, have partnered with Regen Studios and WWF-Australia to bring Damon Gameau and his new film Regenerating Australia to WA 16-19 May with live panels and special guests. Book now, tickets will sell out.

Damon will host the events and the audience Q&A with local panelists and experts including:

- Anthony James (Creator & Host, The RegenNarration) - Leederville screening
- Di Haggerty (Co Founder Natural Intelligence Farming) - Leederville screening

- Olivia Chapman (Director, Clean State WA) - Fremantle screening
- Bill Hare (CEO Climate Analytics, Lead Author 2007 UN IPCC Report) - Fremantle screening

- Bella Burgemeister (Author, Organiser School Strike 4 Climate) - Busselton screening
- Amy Steel (WA Leader | Former Aussie netball star | Decarbonisation and Climate Risk, Engie) - Margaret River screening
- Heidi Mippy (Author | Changemaker.| Noongar Land Enterprise Group)
- and more to be announced soon.

These WA events are also the official launch and entry point to the ‘Innovate to Regenerate’ challenge for social enterprises and impact ventures targeting themes in the film. Selected projects will have the opportunity to access the $2m Innovate to Regenerate solutions fund, alongside impact investors looking to scale up projects that deliver social, environmental and economic benefits to communities around Australia.

These special event screenings will be a chance to connect with others face to face and feel some much needed hope and inspiration as we discuss the steps we could take together to regenerate Australia over the next eight years.
