In celebration of the world-class work being undertaken in Australia by 2025 WA Australians of the Year, Dianne and Ian Haggerty, the Governor of Western Australia is inviting a select audience of respected leaders across diverse fields to a reception being held at Government House on Monday 15 September 2025.
Recognising the profound intersections between environmental health and human wellbeing, this event will bring together a dynamic cross-section of leaders from sectors including medical practice, public health, research, soil and plant ecology, agriculture, nutrition, and environmental science. This reception marks the launch of the Alliance for Human and Planetary Health —a collaborative initiative to advance systems-based solutions, foster new partnerships across diverse disciplines to amplify the shared goal of fostering health through ecological integrity.
The evening will include presentations from sector leaders and a Q&A session hosted by Anthony James, followed by further opportunities for meaningful engagement.
This event will lead off a week of major events including the Regenerative Food Systems Conference - to be opened by the Governor - and surrounding satellite events.
